Royal Ambassadors Charity Home inaugurates working team in Abia
A non-governmental organisation, Royal Ambassadors Charity Home, has inaugurated its state working team in Abia.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Umuahia, the Executive Director, Amb. Jonathan Okwudiri, said that it was a dream come true that a new beginning was set to take place in the state.
He said that the organisation which is operating in 27 states, was founded in 2005, while its operations and activities began in 2011.
Okwudiri said that the organisation was saddled with the responsibilities of helping, caring and empowering orphans, widows, persons with disabilities (PWDs), abandoned/destitute children and the needy.
He said that it was also aimed at reaching out to the unreached in the military, police, para-military agencies, club/gaming houses, market places, hospitals, villages/communities and cities.
The founder advised the newly inaugurated executive to be dedicated, devoted and committed to their social responsibilities without engaging in any form of partiality, discrimination and injustice in their administration.
He called on Abia State Government, philanthropists, donors and well-meaning people of the state in general to partner with the organisation and sponsor her in order to actualise most of her empowerment programmes.
In her remark, the South-East Regional Coordinator, Amb. Nonye Uzoagbado, said the organisation renders volunteer services, even as she urged the people to have passion for the job.
Uzoagbado charged the state executive to imbibe the leadership qualities of humility, commitment, integrity, team work and flexibility, in order to succeed in their task.
In his acceptance speech, the State Coordinator, Amb. Iroabuchi Alozie expressed gratitude to God and the executive director, for finding him worthy to lead the noble organisation.
He said that he and his team would work together to reach out to the orphans, widows, PWDs, as well as those in special needs in the state and the country in general.
The state coordinator urged all members to keep all hands on deck towards the actualisation of the set objectives of the organisation in the state.
