Mrs Gladys Adama, Abia Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has advised corps members in the state to avoid night crawling, financial imprudence and other actions which could endanger their safety.

Adama gave the advice on Tuesday at the closing ceremony of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II corps members’ orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umunna, Bende Local Government Area.

The coordinator also warned the corps members against involvement in conflicts or any misconduct that would damage the reputation of NYSC.

Adama urged them to prioritise the post-camp skills acquisition training and build upon the foundational knowledge gained in the camp.

“As you disperse to communities across Abia, carry forward the beacon of commitment ignited during these three weeks of orientation.

“Let your actions consistently embody the core NYSC values of service, unity, and patriotism.

“You possess the capacity to inspire progress, uplift communities, and forge a legacy extending far beyond your service year,” she said.

Adama also urged the corps members to accept the posting to their places of primary assignments in good faith and resolve to make a meaningful difference in their host communities. (NAN)
