The Abia Progressive Elites, a youth-based group, has announced plans to stage a solidarity march in support of Gov.Alex Otti’s re-election in 2027.
President Dr Alfred Lucky while addressing newsmen said the “One Million Victory March and Grand Reception for Dr. Alex Otti” will take place on April 10, in Umuahia.
He said that youths from the 17 local government areas were mobilised to participate, in order to reciprocate Otti’s good governance.
Lucky stated that the group, formed to address youth issues, selected youths with integrity to oversee polling units during the 2027 elections.
He praised Otti’s administration, calling it the best he’s seen.
“We just formed this structure to reciprocate what the governor has done for us as Abia citizens.
“I’m not a politician, I’m just a minister of God, but because of what I have seen in this present government, I deemed it wise that we should reciprocate these good things,” he said.
Planning Committee Chairman Jiteh Ezeh urged youths and residents to join the march, citing Otti’s achievements.
It’s a voice of the youth of Abia coming to Otti because this government has done a lot.
“We want to tell Abia residents that we can’t let those who held us captive in Egypt take us back to Egypt,” he said.
He said that similar events are planned for Aba and Ohafia in the subsequent days.
