An Abia House of Assembly aspirant, Mr Justice Ogbonna, has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will sweep all the political positions in Abia in 2027.

Ogbonna, who is vying for the Obingwa East State Constituency seat, spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Umuahia on Wednesday.

He said, “APC will win big in Abia because of its strong grassroots presence.”

He commended the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, for his leadership quality.

“Kalu has led us to the extent that there is cohesion, there is synergy, there is oneness in our party in Abia.

“If you go to all the wards and local government areas, there’s no family that you will not see a representative of APC,” Ogbonna said.

He also lauded President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, saying that the party had made significant progress under his watch.

He expressed gratitude to Tinubu for leading the party “to a very successful dimension”.

“So far, Mr President has successfully steered the leadership of our progressive party and, today, APC is one of the best parties across Africa,” he said.

Ogbonna said that Tinubu’s reforms had brought great improvement in the economy, education and security, among others.

“The president has done well, the social mobility in Nigeria is increasing by the day.

“In the area of education, Mr President has invested billions of naira on student loans.

“Today, Nigerian students can access loans that will help them complete their education without stress.

“Parents are no longer worried about how their children will receive good education because Mr President has made provisions,” Ogbonna said.
